Shipping Policy

Last Updated: 20 January 2026

At Alvora, we aim to process and deliver every order as efficiently as possible. This Shipping Policy explains our shipping charges, order processing, delivery attempts, failed deliveries and return-to-origin (RTO) situations.

1. Shipping Charges

The shipping charges applicable to an order depend on the payment method selected by the customer at checkout.

Prepaid Orders

Customers choosing the prepaid payment option may receive the promotional benefit displayed at checkout.

The applicable offer is determined by the offer displayed on the website at the time the order is placed.

Partial COD Orders

Customers choosing Partial COD are required to pay:

₹199 advance + FREE SHIPPING

The remaining order amount is payable at the time of successful delivery, subject to the order details displayed at checkout.

The ₹199 advance is part of the order payment arrangement and may be applied towards applicable shipping, return-to-origin, handling and other logistics costs if the order subsequently becomes a customer-attributable failed delivery, cancellation or return.

COD Orders

For standard COD orders:

₹149 shipping charge is applicable, unless a different shipping charge or promotional offer is clearly displayed at checkout.

2. Order Processing

Orders are generally processed after successful order confirmation and payment verification, where applicable.

Processing times may vary depending on product availability, order volume, verification requirements, weekends, public holidays and other operational circumstances.

An order may be subject to verification before dispatch, particularly where additional confirmation is reasonably required for COD or Partial COD orders.

3. Delivery

Orders are delivered through third-party logistics and courier partners.

Estimated delivery dates or timeframes displayed on the website are indicative and may vary because of factors including:

  • Courier delays

  • Weather conditions

  • Transportation disruptions

  • Incorrect or incomplete address information

  • Customer unavailability

  • Regional restrictions

  • Public holidays

  • Operational or logistical circumstances beyond our reasonable control

A delivery estimate does not constitute a guaranteed delivery date unless expressly stated otherwise.

4. Customer Responsibility for Delivery Information

The customer is responsible for providing complete and accurate delivery information, including:

  • Full name

  • Complete delivery address

  • PIN code

  • Active mobile number

  • Any other information reasonably required for delivery

Alvora shall not be responsible for delays or failed deliveries arising from incorrect, incomplete or inaccurate information supplied by the customer.

Additional delivery charges or logistics costs may arise where a shipment must be re-attempted or redirected because of incorrect customer-provided information.

5. Delivery Attempts

The courier partner may make delivery attempts in accordance with its operational procedures.

Customers are expected to remain reasonably available and cooperate with the courier partner for successful delivery.

Failure to respond to delivery calls, messages or other reasonable delivery attempts may result in the shipment being returned to Alvora.

6. Refusal or Non-Acceptance of Delivery

If a customer refuses to accept an order, remains unavailable after reasonable delivery attempts, or otherwise causes the shipment to be returned to the seller, the shipment may be classified as a failed delivery / Return to Origin (RTO).

Such an order is different from a normal pre-dispatch cancellation.

Where a failed delivery is attributable to the customer, Alvora may recover or deduct reasonable shipping, return-to-origin, handling and other logistics costs actually incurred in connection with the shipment, subject to applicable law.

7. Partial COD — ₹199 Advance

For Partial COD orders, the ₹199 advance is collected before dispatch.

If the customer cancels after dispatch, refuses delivery, fails to accept the shipment, provides incorrect or incomplete delivery information, or otherwise causes the shipment to be returned, the ₹199 advance may be appropriated towards applicable logistics costs incurred by Alvora.

Accordingly, the ₹199 advance may not be refundable where it is required to offset applicable shipping, RTO, handling or related logistics costs.

8. Prepaid Orders — Failed Delivery or Refusal

Prepaid customers receive the applicable prepaid offer, including free shipping where displayed at checkout.

However, free shipping is a promotional benefit and does not mean that logistics costs become non-existent.

If a prepaid order has already been dispatched and is subsequently refused, not accepted, repeatedly unavailable for delivery, returned because of an incorrect/incomplete address, or otherwise returned due to circumstances attributable to the customer, Alvora may deduct the reasonable shipping, return-to-origin, handling and other applicable logistics costs actually incurred before processing any eligible refund.

The remaining eligible amount, if any, shall be refunded in accordance with the Cancellation & Refund Policy and applicable law.

9. Cancellation After Dispatch

Once an order has been packed, processed or dispatched, cancellation may not always be possible because the shipment may already be under the control of a logistics partner.

Where cancellation after dispatch results in logistics costs being incurred, the applicable costs may be recovered or deducted from any otherwise eligible refund, subject to applicable law.

10. Orders Returned Due to Customer-Provided Incorrect Information

If an order is returned because of:

  • Incorrect address

  • Incomplete address

  • Incorrect PIN code

  • Incorrect phone number

  • Customer being repeatedly unavailable

  • Customer refusing delivery

  • Customer failing to coordinate with the courier

  • Any other circumstance attributable to the customer

the applicable shipping, RTO, handling and logistics costs may be deducted from any otherwise eligible refund.

11. Orders Returned Due to Seller or Courier Issues

Where an order cannot be delivered because of an error attributable to Alvora, such as dispatching an incorrect product or materially incorrect order information, the applicable remedy will be provided in accordance with the Cancellation & Refund Policy and applicable consumer law.

Where a shipment fails solely because of a courier or logistics issue outside the customer's control, Alvora will review the circumstances and determine the appropriate resolution in accordance with applicable law and the relevant refund/return terms.

12. Product Availability

In exceptional circumstances, an ordered product may become unavailable before dispatch.

In such cases, Alvora may contact the customer regarding an alternative resolution or process an appropriate refund where applicable.

13. Force Majeure and Unavoidable Delays

Alvora shall not be responsible for delays caused by circumstances reasonably beyond its control, including natural disasters, extreme weather, strikes, transportation disruptions, government restrictions, civil disturbances, technical failures or other extraordinary events.

Where such circumstances occur, Alvora will make reasonable efforts to facilitate delivery or provide an appropriate resolution.

14. Contact

For shipping-related questions or assistance regarding an order, customers may contact Alvora through the contact details provided on the website.

15. Applicable Law

This Shipping Policy shall be interpreted in accordance with applicable laws of India.

Nothing in this policy is intended to exclude, restrict or override any statutory consumer right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted.
